LOVE OF ALL DOGS RESCUE IS A REGISTERED 501(C)3 NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION RELYING ON SPONSORSHIPS AND DONATIONS TO SAVE LIVES.
The population of stray animals has been a problem in Puerto Rico for many years. As a result, in 2008, the Puerto Rican government passed the Animal Protection and Welfare Act. The law bans cruelty to animals and animal abandonment. Although this should have been a step forward, the law has never been fully enforced. In 2017, Hurricane Maria pummeled the island, leaving many parts of Puerto Rico in ruins. This resulted in a staggering increase to the already overwhelming stray population. Combined with the limited resources available to spay/neuter, the increase in unclaimed dogs has increased exponentially. It is our mission to save, rehabilitate, and rehome the Satos of Puerto Rico and to, hopefully, put an end to the overpopulation of strays on the island. We believe that every dog has a family out there just waiting for them to arrive. Our goal is to help make that connection. In the meantime, we will see to it that every dog we come across will never feel hungry, scared, or lonely again.
